Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information FashionVibes ("we", "us") collects when you use the FashionVibes app, why we collect it, and who we share it with. FashionVibes is not directed at children, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it.

Information we collect

• Account information: the email address and username you sign up with. Your password is never stored in readable form - only a one-way cryptographic hash.
• Closet photos: photos you take or upload of clothing items, plus the versions we generate from them (background removed, cropped) and the style tags, category, color, and season data an AI model assigns to each item.
• Generated content: the outfits and packing lists you generate, including the vibe you asked for and the AI's written rationale for each outfit.
• Spotify data: only if you connect a Spotify account, we store the access needed to show a matching track and, if you choose, control playback on your own device. We do not receive your Spotify listening history.
• Subscription data: if you subscribe to Pro, Apple and our subscription-billing partner, RevenueCat, tell us whether your subscription is active and when it renews or expires. We do not receive or store your payment card details - Apple handles billing entirely.
• Basic usage data: counts of how many outfits, closet uploads, and packing lists you've used in the current period, so we can apply the plan limits described in the app.

How we use this information

To run the app: generating outfits and closet tags requires sending your closet photos and the outfit request text to Google's Gemini API for AI processing. We use your email only to manage your account (login, password resets) and, if you use it, to send you a password-reset email via our email provider, Resend. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Who we share data with

We share the minimum data needed with the services that make the app work:

• Google (Gemini API) - closet photos and outfit-generation requests, to produce tags and outfit recommendations.
• Spotify - only if you connect your account, to look up and control track playback.
• Apple and RevenueCat - to process and verify Pro subscription purchases.
• Resend - your email address, only when sending you a password-reset email.
• Our infrastructure providers (database and file storage hosting) - to store your data securely; they don't use it for any purpose of their own.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account (or ask us to), we permanently delete your account, closet items, outfits, and connected-account credentials - this cannot be undone. Contact us at the email below to request deletion or a copy of your data.

Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Session and password-reset tokens are stored as hashes, not as the raw values a leaked database entry could otherwise be used to log in with.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the update.
